Dear students,

As the Department of Mechanical and Metal Technologies, which provides education within Yalova University Altınova Vocational School, our priority is to develop and reinforce your professional skills that will support you academically throughout your university education in our globalizing world.

In our department, education is offered to our university students under the name of "Welding Technology" program. The welding technology program aims to train qualified welding technicians, technical personnel and experts who have both theoretical knowledge and application ability needed by the relevant industrial sectors. Thus, our students will be employed in welding fields in various organizations and the sector's need for intermediate staff will be met.

In our department, Welding Technology training is given entirely by instructors with industry experience. Since welding technology education is a training that requires practice, practical training is given by expert instructors in the welding test laboratory and welding workshop equipped with the latest technology at the school. In addition, in order to improve their practical skills, students receive 3 semesters of theoretical training at school and 1 semester of practical training in the sector in the 3+1 education model. During this period, our instructors stay in constant communication with the students and make up for their shortcomings.

To our department faculty members; He provides various trainings at Yalova University or other institutions and contributes to their continuous development. In addition, our department works in cooperation with both our internal and external stakeholders and other departments and follows the needs and feedback of both our students, our department and faculty members.

We would like to underline that, as the Department of Machinery and Metal Technologies, we are working intensively to fulfill our great responsibility in order to equip you, our valued students, with the knowledge and skills you will need in your academic, professional and industrial working lives in our world that is becoming more global each day. I would like to remind you that we are ready for any kind of support.
